Driven by a passion for pet health and nutrition, The Fatory supports pet food and supplement brands across Europe with high-quality private label solutions.

From our production facility in Bodegraven, we manufacture premium oils, toppers, and functional pet treats designed to support pet health and well-being while meeting the specific needs of our partners and their markets

Specialists Since 1996

Since our founding, we have focused on the development and production of nutritional supplements for pets. Our roots lie in animal fats, where we built deep technical expertise and a strong reputation for quality.

Over the years, this foundation has evolved into a broad portfolio of pet nutrition products to become one of the largest private label production lines in Europe.

1996

B.G.S. founded by Bjorn de Bruijn

Bjorn was working at a local pet store when he decided to venture off and start his own business called 'Bjorns Gereinigd Schapenvet.'

2000

Move to industrial site Kerkvliet

Four years later, the business began to grow and was relocated to an industrial site in Kerkvliet.

2001

First major production scale-up with automated packaging

As we began to take on more clients, we were able to purchase our first packaging machine.

2003

New products added

With business booming, we were able to add liquid sheep fat and salmon oil to our product line.

2004

B.G.S. becomes Vitaal-Vet

As the company continued to grow, we changed our name to Vitaal-Vet.

2015

Introduction of liquid production line

With more demand for liquid sheep fat and salmon oil, we were able to purchase a liquid bottling machine to further our production line and offer new ways for brands to grow.

2016

Achieved GMP+ certification Add Title Here

In 2016, our facility received a GMP+ certification to ensure every step in our production process is carried out in a carefully described and controlled way.

2017

Vitaal-Vet becomes The Fatory

The company keeps growing, and so do our ambitions. To that end, we decide to freshen up our name and brand identity; Vitaal-Vet becomes The Fatory.

2023

Acquired by Bioriginal

Bioriginal expands their pet nutrition business to strengthen their vertically integrated pet nutrition offerings.

2025

Installation of a new state-of-the-art liquid bottling line

The Fatory upgrades their facility with a new liquid bottling line to increase production capacity and automation.

2026

Launch of nitrogen filling lines

The company invests in a nitrogen filling capabilities for its liquid bottling line to strengthen its ability to protect oils from oxidation to extend shelf life and preserve product quality.

Liquid Production Line

The Fatory offers efficient, scalable production of pet nutrition liquids. Built for flexibility, our liquid production line supports brands with scalable solutions and low MOQs.

Sheep Fat Production Line

The Fatory is a specialist in sheep-fat-based treats with capacity to produce a wide range of shapes, sizes, and formulations, with several private label SKUs already available.

Nitrogen Filling Line

All of our oils and omega toppers can be finished with a nitrogen filling to help your pet products stay fresher for longer by reducing oxygen in the package to create a more premium customer experience.
